April 3, 2022, first day of Qingming Festival. The epidemic in Shanghai has become worst in China: number of infected people exceeded 10,000 yesterday, and entire staff of Pudong and Puxi were placed under home quarantine. The spring day outside window is very good and sun is shining brightly. Sitting in front of balcony basking in sun, although you can’t go outside at all, you can still enjoy beauty of this spring day. It is rare to have such free time. The epidemic forced people of Shanghai to press pause button, Nanjing East Road was empty, and Bund felt alone. However, there are still so many people who work hard even at home. Teachers who work from home, prepare lessons, attend classes and assign homework have all moved online, and their eyes are most tired of fighting epidemic every day. There are still so many people who not only did not stop, but also fought on front lines of fight against epidemic, day and night, moving forward with heavy burdens.
Life is not easy, and living under cover of an epidemic is even more difficult. How many people have closed their companies because of it, and how many people have lost their jobs because of it. However, we live in great China, and we are supported by many wonderful people. Although times are not best, I am glad to be moving forward with you in this great era.
